What is Choqa?

The men of Bakhtiari nomads and Lors in Iran wear sleeveless tops on their clothes, which is called chogha. This dress is only for men. And women make its fabric from fleece. Chogha dates back several thousand years. Its name is inspired by Choghaznabil Shush. This fabric is black and white and its height should reach below the knee. There are also color combinations such as cream-blue, cream-crimson or cream-brown. The texture of the chogha is similar to that of a kilim, meaning that a hanging tree is used to weave it. Chogha fabric size is 2.5 to 3.5 meters and its width is 50 to 70 centimeters. It is also made of cotton and wool. After weaving, the pieces are cut to the required size and sewn together. It can be said that its wool must be of good quality and quality.
