Almond is a fruit whose tree is native to Iran and neighboring countries and Central Asia, but grows in many areas. Almonds are not real seeds, but a kind of tree that has a hard outer shell and a hard inner shell in which the seed (kernel) is placed. The amount of energy per 100 grams of almonds is 576 kcal. Iran’s largest rain almond orchard is located in Kuhsorkh city in Khorasan Razavi province.
