There is another type of carpet and tableau which is called jewelry or carpet decoration. The type and style of carpet weaving are different in this type of carpet. This style of carpet weaving is more common in India and the city of Kashmir. In our country, Tabrizi art has been able to weave the first jewelry and embroidered carpets. In this valuable carpet, 42 types of precious stones have been used. These stones are rubies, jade and emeralds as well as one kilo of 22 carat gold. Also, 750 different colors have been used in the texture of this carpet. The yarns used in this beautiful carpet are 30% silk and the rest of the yarns are merino. This very eye-catching and valuable carpet is woven in the size of 140 x 120 and it took 5 years.

مراحل باقت قالی مرصع نیز شبیه به مراحل قالی بافی است . در این روش نیز از نقشه و طرح استفاده می وشد. منتها در این نقشه ها محل قرار گیری مهر ها و اندازه طول و عرض محل قرار گیری آنها مشخص می شود.همچنین مشخص می شود که مهر های استفاده شده افق یا عمودی است. یک نکته بسیار مهم در مرصع بافی این است که مهر ها باید قبل از چله کشی وارد نخ چله بشود.و در هنگام چله کشی دقت شود که با شمارش کردن چله ،آنها در جای خودشان قرار بگیرند.بعد از این مرحله بافت قالی شروع می شود و هنگامی که برا اساس طرح به رج مورد نظر رسیدیم مهر باید در جایگاه خودش قرار بگیرد. نکته قابل توجه دیگر این است که وقتی فرش جواهر نشان یا مرصع بافته می شود بسیار باید دقت شود . زیرا در مرحله پود کشی احتمال آسیب به جواهرات یا نگین ها می باشد. برای جلوگیری از این امر از ابزاری مانند سمبه گلیم بافی استفاده می شود و باید توجه کرد که ضربات باید با احتیاط وارد شود و دقت شود که به نگین ها و جواهرات بکار رفته برخورد نکند. در آخر قابل بیان است که جواهر بکار رفته در این سبک باید در فرش کاشته شود و نباید از آن آویزان باشد.
