Styrene butadiene rubber
Styrene-butadiene rubber (SBR) is a synthetic rubber made from a combination of styrene and butadiene. In synthetic rubbers, the ratio of styrene to butadiene affects the properties of the polymer. It burns in the flame and continues to burn after the flame is removed. It is one of the cheapest synthetic elastomers and is sometimes used as a substitute for natural rubber (NR). SBR has the largest volume in the production of synthetic rubber. Styrene-butadiene (SBR) rubber applications on surfaces * traction * conveyor belt * insole and heel * adhesive * car tires.
